To create a UOM, perform the following:
1.On the application home page, in the left pane, click Master UOM. The UOM workbench appears on the right pane like the one shown below:
2.In the right pane, click Add () icon in the menu bar.
3.Under Code column, enter a code for the unit of measurement.
4.Under Description column, enter description for the unit of measurement.
5.Under Basis column, choose the basis for quantifying the unit of measurement as Area, Weight, Count, Length, Volume, Distance, Duration, or Temperature from the drop-down menu.
6.Under Is Base UOM column, do either of the following:
a.Choose Yes to set the specific UOM as the base unit for measurement.
b.Choose No to set the specific UOM as the base unit for measurement.
7.Under Base UOM Code column, choose the basis code as Celsius, Cubic Meter, Days, Grams, Hours, Kilogram, Kilometer, or Millimeter.
8.Under Base UOM Quantity column, enter the quantity for the base UOM.
9.Under Decimals column, enter the number of decimals to be allowed for the base UOM.
Note: By default, the Status will be ACTIVE.
10.Click Save () icon to temporarily save the UOM.
11.In the menu bar, click Save () icon to save the UOM. A pop-up window appears.
12.Click OK.
