Navigation:  Masters > Demurrage/Detention Setup > Creating Demurrage Detention Setup

 

To create a demurrage detention setup, perform the following:

 

1.On the application home page, in the left pane, click Master  Demurrage Detention Setup. The Demurrage Detention Setup workbench appears on the right pane like the one shown below:

 

 

2.In the right pane, click Add () icon in the menu bar. The Demurrage Detention Setup creation page appears.

 

3.In Document Type Wise More Details header, perform the following:

a.Choose Charge Type from the drop-down menu as Storage, Detention, or Demurrage.

b.Choose Vendor Type and Charge Code from the respective drop-down menus.

c.Choose Day Basis from the drop-down menu as Running Day or Working Day.

d.Choose Dem /Det Type from the drop-down menu as Combined or Separate.

e.Choose Allow Calculation from the drop-down menu as Yes or No.

f.Choose Jumping Logic from the drop-down menu as Yes or No.

g.Enter Remarks, if any.
Note: By default, Status will be ACTIVE.

 

 

4.In Move Date Definition tag, perform the following:

a.Click add () icon.

b.Choose From Event Code from the drop-down menu.
Note: By default, From Event Description will be auto populated.

c.Choose To Event Code from the drop-down menu.
Note: By default, To Event Description will be auto populated.

d.In From Date, choose the date from which the setup should be calculated as Start calculation date, ETD, Move date, or ETA.

e.In To Date, choose the date until which the setup should be calculated as Start calculation date, ETD, Move date, or ETA.

f.Enter Remarks, if any.
Note: By default, Status will be ACTIVE.

 

 

g.Click Save () icon to temporarily save the move date information.

 

5.In PORT/TERMINAL WISE DEFINITION tag, perform the following:

a.Click add () icon.

b.Choose Port/Terminal from the drop-down menu.

c.Choose Shipment Type from the drop-down menu as All, Special, or General.

d.Choose Start Date Check from the drop-down menu as Clearance or Actual.

e.Choose End Date Check from the drop-down menu as Clearance or Actual.

f.Choose Day Basis from the drop-down menu as Running Day or Working Day.

g.Choose Dem /Det Type from the drop-down menu as Combined or Separate.

h.Enter Remarks, if any.
Note: By default, Status will be ACTIVE.

 

i.Click Save () icon to temporarily save the port information.
Note: Only on choosing the port, the container type wise setup will be enabled.

 

6.In CONTAINER TYPE WISE SETUP tag, perform the following:

a.Click add () icon.

b.Choose Container Type from the drop-down menu.

c.Choose Start From date from the drop-down menu as Current Day or Working Day.

d.Choose Day Basis from the drop-down menu as Running Day or Working Day.

e.Enter Remarks, if any.
Note: By default, Status will be ACTIVE.

 

f.Click Save () icon to temporarily save the container information.

 

7.In the menu bar, click Save () icon to save the demurrage detention setup. A pop-up window appears.

 

 

8.Click OK.
