This program is used for defining the logical (next logically possible) moves of the containers and the fields which are to be copied for each pair (From move and To move) of moves.

Move sequence

In container inventory cycle, there are certain standard sequences to be followed for the movements of the container.

1.VAN Move: Empty Container taken out by the customer for stuffing against a particular booking.

2.EXPIN Move: Container is loaded with the goods inside and sent to the terminal.

3.LDFULL Move: Container is loaded on the vessel (after inspection) as full.

Here, the move sequence is VAN à EXPIN à LDFULL.

For each of the above move types, certain fields are common (e.g., Customer name, Booking number etc.). These common fields are specified in the Master program and the same can be copied from one move to its next logical move.

Example:

For a move from DSFULL to DVAN, the fields Line, Vessel, Voyage, Port etc. are marked as fields to be copied. Whenever we update DVAN move and if the container current move is DSFULL, then all these field values will get copied from DSFULL to DVAN.
