Move Static Change (Edit Mode)

While updating container events, certain information like current location, terminal, voyage might have been wrongly updated. Those information can be corrected in EDIT mode instead of deleting the full event. This is called Move Static change.

 

Steps:

A. Single container update

•Query the container using various input parameters and select the container.

•Current events will be visible in the top grid and history events will be displayed in the bottom grid.

•Single container Edit option is possible for both current event grid and history event grid.

•Click on EDIT option (edit option is provided next to the container selection itself).

✓Edit option is not applicable for events with status as DELETED.

✓Edit option is applicable for both current and history events.

✓Container number/Move code /Move date and time can not be changed in edit mode.

 

B. Mass Update (Multiple Container Update)

Mass update option is controlled via role based access and used to update any particular details for more than one container. Mass update is applicable for containers with CURRENT STATUS only.

For example, If the dashboard has a list of 10 containers and for 5 containers Voyage was updated as XXX. Now to change the voyage to ‘YYY’, select the check box against the 5 containers and select Mass Update button. If all the containers listed in the dashboard are to be changed, then select the Select all check box and then select Mass Update option.

 

Condition to be checked in Mass Update:

•For updating multiple container records, the selected containers should have the same move code so that the change in the data will get reflected in all the records selected in the dashboard.

•To change all the current events details of a single voyage (e.g., changing POD from Jebel Ali to Singapore), then select the voyage in the Voyage LOV in the Container workbench which lists all the current events of the container belonging to that voyage. Select the Select All check box and click Mass Update button.

•This update option will work only for the containers events which are in current status only.
